Rio Rancho has four key development areas. The Unser Gateway and its expansion into the medical corridor has established this area as the primary job growth corridor west of the Rio Grande. The Unser Gateway has a number of housing sites ready to be built and further business expansion includes the state’s first Dutch Brothers Coffee location. City Center is also developing this area with a corporate park and expansion of healthcare, higher education and services such as a new senior center. The Intel corridor, the original area of the city, is experiencing a renewal and expansion. This area has seen a number of businesses open and will soon have the first Natural Grocers, Defined Fitness, and a second Dutch Brothers Coffee location in Rio Rancho. The Enchanted Hills has continued to experience rapid home construction and economic expansion in this corridor that includes the Town of Bernalillo and Santa Ana Pueblo.
