A second senior center, the extension of Broadmoor Blvd., an Orthopaedic Center of Excellence at UNM Sandoval Regional Medical Center and a campus park are all new developments happening at Rio Rancho’s City Center. UNM Center of Excellence for Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation broke ground on August 18th of 2020 and will see completion in November of 2021. This state-of-the-art facility will unite teaching,
research, and clinical missions at UNM RR Campus.
- Rio Rancho Senior Center #2 broke ground on July
13th of 2020 and is set for completion in June of 2021,
this will be Rio Rancho’s second senior center
alongside the already existing Meadowlark Senior
Center. - Broadmoor Blvd. which saw its last extension in 2016
from the Northern Blvd area to Paseo De Volcan,
connecting vital access to City Center and UNM
Sandoval Regional Medical Center- Broadmoor is
seeing another extension now to create access to the
developing Senior Center, this extension is scheduled
to be finished by December of 2021. - UNM Center of Excellence for Orthopaedic Surgery
and Rehabilitation broke ground on August 18th of
2020 and will see completion in November of 2021.
This state-of-the-art facility will unite teaching,
research, and clinical missions at UNM RR Campus. - Campus Park at City Center is forecasted to wrap up
construction in spring of 2021, an area designed to
bring community together with a unique performance
venue, amphitheater, events lawns, pedestrian walking
paths and plazas.
