Eleanor is a six year old pitbull mix longing for a family. Over the summer, she was brought into a veterinary office, so horrifically neglected that her ears had sealed shut from a terrible ear infection. She had lived her entire life chained outside, was very underweight, and was scheduled to be euthanized.
When one particular vet saw Eleanor wagging her tail inside the kennel, just happy to be around people despite the pain she was in, that veterinary decided she could not allow that to happen. She convinced the owner to surrender her, and Eleanor received multiple surgeries to clear out the infection.
Now, Eleanor is a happy little camper and living in foster care with the vet who saved her. She is completely deaf and her ears are only decorational, but she is extremely smart and eager to please, so she has been picking up sign language wonderfully.
Eleanor is incredibly affectionate and would be an amazing family dog. She is great with kids. However, due to her possessiveness over food (which is understandable), Eleanor needs to be the only dog in a home.
