RRPS & Sandoval County Sheriff’s Office Host a Wildfire Donation Drive Starting May 9

Dear RRPS Community,
Rancho Public Schools has teamed up with the Sandoval County Sheriff’s Office to collect donations to benefit community members impacted by the wildfires. Our Wildfire Donation Drive will start on Monday, May 9. Anyone wishing to make a donation can drop items off to any of the following locations Monday through Friday during the hours listed:
  • Sandoval County Sheriff’s Office (1500 Idalia Road, 8a-5p)
  • Cielo Azul Elementary (3804 Shiloh Rd NE, Regular School Hours)
  • Enchanted Hills Elementary (5400 Obregon Rd NE, Regular School Hours)
  • Puesta del Sol Elementary (450 Southern Blvd SE,Regular School Hours)
  • Rio Rancho Elementary (4601 Pepe Ortiz Rd SE, Regular School Hours)
  • Sandia Vista Elementary (6800 Franklin Rd NE, Regular School Hours)
  • Vista Grande Elementary (7001 Chayote Rd NE, Regular School Hours)
  • Mountain View Middle School (4010 Montreal Lp NE, Regular School Hours)
  • Independence High School (421 Quantum Rd NE, Regular School Hours)
  • Rio Rancho Cyber Academy (1330 Jackie Rd SE, Regular School Hours)
  • RRPS District Office (500 Laser Road, 8a-5p)
Items being collected to directly benefit those displaced by the wildfires in New Mexico and first responders assisting with firefighting and emergency management include:
  • Bottle Water & Sports Drinks
  • Non-perishable Canned Goods
  • Dog Food/Cat Food
  • Pet Crates (new or gently used)
  • Flushable Wipes & Baby Wipes
  • Toiletries (toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant & feminine hygiene products)
  • Towels
All donated items should be in new, unopened condition, with the exception of the pet crates.
As donations begin to roll in, staff from Rio Rancho Public Schools and the Sheriff’s Office will transport the items to Sandoval County Fire and Rescue for distribution to those impacted in our community. Together we can make our community stronger by helping those in need.
