Join Keep Rio Rancho Beautiful and register to volunteer for Mayor Hull’s 2021 Rally in the Desert Cleanup on Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 8:00 a.m. – Noon.

As our community grows, the amount of littered and illegally dumped waste on the city’s vast mesas and open spaces increases.  While the City does what it can to offer ways to dispose of waste legally, and enforce our anti-litter and anti-dumping laws, many instances of littering and dumping still occur.  We need help from our volunteers to remove this waste and protect all of our citizens and our natural resources.  During last year’s Rally in the Desert, almost 50 tons of waste was removed from streets, parks and the mesa.  This year we hope to remove that amount – or more!

Please download the Volunteer Registration Form, then complete and return it Keep Rio Rancho Beautiful by or before Monday, September 13th.

Forms can be submitted by email to STDOMINGUEZ@rrnm.gov, by fax at 505-891-5205, or mail/delivery to Keep Rio Rancho Beautiful at Rio Rancho City Hall, 3200 Civic Center Circle NE, Suite 100, Rio Rancho, NM 87144.

Registered volunteers will have access to cleanup dumpsters, bags and gloves, and the first 300 volunteers will receive reusable grocery bags, straws and other resources.   The top three groups to remove the largest amount of waste will receive cash prizes provided by Waste Management of New Mexico.

Mayor Hull’s 2021 Rally in the Desert Cleanup is brought to you by the City of Rio Rancho Keep Rio Rancho Beautiful Division, New Mexico Clean and Beautiful, The Sandoval County Landfill, Waste Management of New Mexico, Rio Rancho Kiwanis, and the City of Rio Rancho Environmental Programs Division.
